Your Advanced Arabic Language program in Amman lasts 14 weeks and is designed for students with advanced Arabic language skills. You will choose from CIEE courses taught entirely in Arabic at CIEE Amman. Enhance your experience with co-curricular and extracurricular activities while immersing yourself in Jordanian culture. Excursions & Activities

CIEE’s excursions and cultural activities in Amman will open doors for you to explore Jordan’s rich diversity, language, culture, history, and timeless beauty in ways that will enhance your time abroad.    

Samples of past excursions and activities:
  • Explore biblical Jordan where you’ll explore ancient sites steeped in history
  • Visit one of the New Wonders of the World, Petra (known as the Rose City), and marvel at its ancient rock-cut architecture and stunning desert landscapes
  • Hike through the forests of northern Jordan, where you'll explore serene landscapes, diverse flora, and tranquil nature reserves

Program Highlights

  • Academic Course: Take CIEE courses in Arabic at the CIEE Center.
  • Immersive Experiences: Participate in activities, excursions, study tours, volunteer work, and more that showcase your host city's culture, values, and local art, film, music, cuisine, and sports scenes.

Gilman Go Global Grants - $2,500/semester and $1,000/summer, guaranteed to all Gilman applications.

Merit-Based Scholarships - $2,500/semester and $750/summer, awarded to students deomonstrating high academic achievement.

Minority Serving Institutions (MIS) Grant - $2,000/semester and $500/summer, guaranteed to all students attending MSIs.
