Program Overview

Your Summer Business + Culture program in Barcelona lasts 4 weeks (or up to 12 weeks). You will enroll in one business course per session. Enhance your experience with co-curricular and extracurricular activities while immersing yourself in Spanish culture. Live and learn in Barcelona!

Program Highlights

Academic Course: Take one CIEE business course per session (up to 3 sessions).

CIEE’s excursions and cultural activities in Barcelona will open doors for you to explore Spain’s rich diversity, language, culture, history, and timeless beauty in ways that will enhance your time abroad.

Trek Montserrat's breathtaking mountain trails, exploring a Benedictine monastery retreat and witnessing the unique rock formations of Catalonia
Wander the colorful streets of Gràcia, immersing yourself in the neighborhood's bohemian vibe and artistic flair
Dive into the captivating art of flamenco at one of Barcelona's renowned tablaos

Academics

CIEE Barcelona: Study near Barcelona’s main square, Plaça Catalunya, on a beautiful pedestrian passageway, only minutes from cafés, restaurants, and important cultural attractions. CIEE Barcelona features classrooms, a student lounge, conference rooms, and charming 19th-century terraces where students can relax outdoors.

GAIN Travel Grants - Up to $1,500 toward travel costs guaranteed to students with a FAFSA SAI of $10,000 or less. Higher should still apply!

Gilman Go Global Grants - Up to $2,500/semester, $1,500/quarter, and $1,000 guaranteed to Benjamin A Gilman International Scholarship applicants.

Merit-Based Scholarships - Up to $2,500/semester, $1,500/quarter, and $750/summer awarded to students deomonstrating high academic achievement.
